ODESA, MAY 15th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― International Veterans Rugby Tournament “Odesa wave in Myhalych memory” will be held 18 May in Odesa, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the Rugby Federation of Odesa Region reported today, 15 May.

According to the press service, the 50th Anniversary of the Odesa rugby will be held 18 May. In honour of the holiday Veterans Rugby Tournament “Odesa wave in Myhalych memory” will take place at the stadium “Sports Academy”. The competition will bring together teams of Odesa, Kyiv, Lviv, Simferopol, Feodosia, Rostov-on-Don, Chisinau, and Sedaltse.

In addition to the ordinary matches it is planned the meeting of the teams with players over age 50. A focal point of the event will be the unveiling of a monument to the founder of Odesa rugby Leonid Shelestovich.

All events will be held at the sports centre “Sports Academy”. The matches start at 10:00.
