ODESA, MAY 18th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― The former President of Moldova Petru Lucinschi has urged to make the communication between Moldova and Odesa region closer and more productive, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Mr Lucinschi stated it during the awarding ceremony which was held yesterday, 17 May, at the Great Hall of the Bristol hotel.

“It has been already noted, that after 5 years after Mikhail Vorontsov was appointed Governor-General of New Russia, he became the governor of the province of Bessarabia. Look, how people communicate during that time ― it is also a tradition that has been passed, but it was broken over time. We know that since about 17th year every ruler came and started with himself. The problem of succession is one of the major issues for all states...” he noted.
