ODESA, MAY 22nd, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Tomorrow, the delegation of writers and journalists will travel from Odesa to Batumi on the passenger ferry “Greifswald” within the festival “Silk Road of Poetry”, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press-secretary of the Association of Ship-owners of Ukraine Oleksandr Fedorov reported today, 22 May.

Mr Fedorov noted that tomorrow, 23 May, the ship «Greifswald» with a delegation of Russian and Ukrainian writers, poets and journalists will take a departure from the Illichivsk port to Batumi.

The first time the “Silk Road of Poetry” was held in June 2004 on board of “Greifswald” and with the joint efforts of the shipping company “Ukrferry”, the Russian magazine “Oktyabr”, Georgian Ambassador to Ukraine Grigol Katamadze and the Government of Adjara. The festival has become a very important event in the cultural life of Georgia, Ukraine, and Russia, was widely celebrated media of these countries by UNESCO, GUAM and BSEC.

A part of the programme of the festival will be held 26 May ― Independence Day of Georgia. The leading poets of Russia and Ukraine will take part in the most important holiday in Georgia.
