KHERSON, JULY, 29TH, 2008, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE Kherson ship-building factory (KSBF) delivered a hull of the first river tanker-chemical carrier to the customer — Dutch company Zanen Shipbuilding B.V. on July, 29th, 2008, IA “Context-Prichernomorie” correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about this by the press-service of the Kherson ship-building factory.

The vessel is constructed under project ST 207 and is intended for transportation of chemical products.

Its length — 125 m, width – 11.4 m, height of a board – 5.25 m.

5 orders are under construction for «Zanen Shipbuilding B.V. , three of them will be carried out by the Nikolaev ship-building factory are 61 Communard.

Also, series of tankers will be constructed for the Dutch company «Veka Shipbuilding B.V. .

Construction of anchor-layers for the Norwegian company «Kleven Prosjekt AS» is also being conducted.

As IA “Context-Prichernomorie” informed earlier, Kherson ship-building made keel-laying of the hull of the river tanker-chemical carrier for the Dutch company «Zanen Shipbuilding B.V. factory» on December, 19th, 2007.

This is the first vessel in of this type series the contract on construction of which has been concluded by the enterprise «Zanen Shipbuilding B.V. in 2007.

KSBF was engaged in ship repair after privatization, these are the first orders on full-fledged construction of vessels.

KSBF registered in the form of open joint-stock company, has finished 2007 with net profit of 0.387 million UAH.

KSBF is engaged in repair and construction of vessels in particular tankers with deadweight of up to 30 thousand tons, vessels of supply of an ice class, ore carriers, container carriers, dry-cargo vessels of a universal purpose, chisel vessels with depth of drilling up to 6500 meters.

83.61 % of actions of a factory belong to Limited Liability Company “Pivdenrudmet” (Krivoy Rog, Ukraine).
