ODESA, AUGUST 2nd, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― In the network of cultural exchange with the sister cities, Odesa delegation has visited sister city Lefkada in Greece, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Odesa City Council Information Office reported today, 2 August.

According to the information, in July, meeting of the delegations from seven sister cities took place in Lefkada, Greece. The forum was aimed at the cultural exchange between the representatives of the local government, school teachers and schools improvement methodists in the cities and towns of France, Romania, Sweden, Serbia and others. Odessa, as Lefkada’s sister city, was represented by Primorskiy District Administration’s workers.

Primorskiy District Administration Manager Malvina Knyazeva emphasized that the representatives of the Greek cities were very interested in the District’s contests and festivals, including the ones held at the City Day.

After Primorskiy District Administration’s Education Dept’s presentation, Lefkada City Mayor Kostas Aravanis suggested the cities should exchange the school delegations in order to study the culture and national traditions of the both sides.

Several school directors from Lefkada have also expressed their interest in visiting Primorskiy District’s schools.
