ODESA, SEPTEMBER 6th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― The international webinar “Internet and digital technology in children education” will be held in Odesa, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Odesa City Council Information Office reported today, 6 September.

The Office noted that the international webinar “Internet and digital technology in children education” will be held on September 8 from 10:00 to 13:00 in the universal reading room of the Gaidar Central City Children’s Library.

The project is implemented with a view to develop Internet competence of parents, teachers and librarians in the framework of the project “Happy childhood”.

“According to experts, now there are two generations, and the digital divide between them: children born in the age of new technologies ― the “digital natives” and adults ― “digital immigrants”, who assimilates these technologies hard,” the Office noted.

The purpose of the webinar is to make the problem more clearly to parents, teachers, educators, librarians, everyone who wants to make the child comfortable environment for the successful development and concerned about the issue of online opportunities and online security.

The programme includes a teleconference and educational workshop “Visiting the digital natives” for parents, educators and libraries of Russia, Ukraine and Moldova.
