ODESA, OCTOBER 8th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ¬― V International billiards tournament “Golden Cue” among people with disabilities has been held last weekend, 5-6 October, in Odesa, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

According to the press service, with the support of the Chairman of the Odesa Regional State Administration Eduard Matviychuk and the Federation of billiard sports of Ukraine in Odesa V International billiards tournament “Golden Cue” among people with disabilities was held 5-6 October in Odesa.

The director of billiard club “Renaissance Odessa” noted that the tournament was attended by representatives of Belarus, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Russia. The tournament has been carried out 5 years and this year is anniversary.

“This tournament is a prime example of the implementation of the regional social programme “Compassion in Action”, which operates in our region as part of the social initiatives of the President of Ukraine. The tournament involved 74 people: the disabled, the Afghans, the deputies of the regional council. People with disabilities play with heart and soul and all laurels belong to them,” the director of the Department of Social Protection Irina Markevych told.
