ODESA, OCTOBER 17th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― International Black Sea Transport Forum has been opened in Odesa, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Odesa City Council Information Office noted today, 17 October.

The Office reported that through 16 ― 18 October Odessa hosts the International Black Sea Transport Forum, in terms of which exhibitions and conferences are planned. Acting Deputy of Odesa Mayor Kyrylo Shalamay took part at the opening ceremony.

“The infrastructure almost of all modes of transport is concentrated in Odesa, as our city is the most important object of 5 international transport corridors. So recently approved development strategy of the city provides special attention to the whole complex transportation problems ― structural and infrastructural, logistical and others, including the problems of public transport,” Mr Shalamay noted, opening the forum.

In the framework of the forum it will be held the 15th international conference “Ukraine’s transit potential. Efficient infrastructure and logistics for transport in the South-East Europe”. The purpose of the conference is the issues and decisions of the transit potential of Ukraine, the attractiveness of transit routes. Also it is planned the International Exhibition for Transport and Logistics “Trans Ukraine 2013”, the International specialized exhibition “TransRail Ukraine 2013” and holding specialized exhibition “Commercial and municipal transport in 2013”.
