Ukrainian MFA: Free movement of Ukrainians in the EU ― one of our main goals
14:30 / 21.10.2013

ODESA, OCTOBER 21st, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Andriy Olefirov has stated that the free movement of Ukrainians to the European Union is one of the main tasks of the foreign service of Ukraine, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Mr Olefirov announced on Friday, 18 October, during the press conference on the results of the 21st of the EUBAM Advisory Board Meeting.

“Today, all in attendance at the meeting noted the positive work of the Mission for the last 6 months, and for all 8 years of existence. The question of the organizing the necessary security of the state border of Ukraine and Moldova fully comply with international trends. We are grateful to the EUBAM, its leader Udo Burkholder and our Moldovan colleagues for the help,” he noted. “An important issue is the visa dialogue with the European Union. Free movement of Ukrainian citizens to the EU is one of the main tasks of the foreign service of Ukraine. In this context, the integrated border management is extremely important. Thus, the building of secure borders is an integral part of the whole process, which will allow us to get a visa-free regime with the EU. It is absolutely priority power. I am confident that we will achieve this ambitious goal together.”
