ODESA, DECEMBER 24th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― The screenings of the films showed at the 10th Docudays UA International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival will be held 25 ― 29 December in Odesa and Kotovsk, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.
The press service of the Odesa regional organization of All-Ukrainian civic organization “Committee of Voters of Ukraine” noted today, 24 December.
Most of the films cover the history of peaceful and revolutionary protests of citizens in different countries. It is extremely important during the wide spreading and formation of the protest movement in Ukraine. The festival programme for Odesa region includes not only film screenings, but also further substantive discussions and debates, and for Kotovsk students there will be held seminars how to behave in mass peaceful protests and with police officers.
The regional partner and organizer of the festival is the Odesa regional organization of All-Ukrainian civic organization “Committee of Voters of Ukraine”. The main objective is to inspire and bring Ukrainian citizens in the protection of their rights and fight for democratic values.
The festival programme includes about 10 documentary films. The main part of the show will take place at the Ukrainian House in Odesa, separate additional screenings will be held at the Odessa National Mechnikov University. It will be also provided a street demonstration on individual films “Euromaidan ― Odesa” near the monument to Duke de Richelieu. Admission is free to all events.
