ODESA, MARCH 17th, 2014, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ─ Chairman of the Odesa Regional State Administration Volodymyr Nemirovsky has met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Latvian Republic to Ukraine Argita Daudze, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

According to the information, today, March 17, Chairman of the Odesa Regional State Administration Volodymyr Nemirovsky met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia in Ukraine Argita Daudze.

During the meeting the sides discussed issues of cooperation between the regions of the Republic of Latvia and the Odesa region, in particular, they considered joint cultural and business activities in the region. At the same time, the Ukrainian side noted that the close cooperation has been already established between the Odesa National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet and the Latvian National Opera (Riga).

Also, the parties exchanged views on the political and economic situation. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia in Ukraine A. Daudze handed statement of the President of the Republic of Latvia on the situation in Ukraine, where it is stated that “Latvia supports Ukraine’s territorial integrity and believes that any steps aimed at splitting the Ukrainian society and threaten the territorial integrity States require a sharp condemnation” and stressed the full support by Latvian people.

Following the meeting, the two sides reached agreement on strengthening and deepening cooperation.
