ODESA, DECEMBER 2nd, 2014, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Rector of the Odessa National Mechnikov University Igor Koval has noted that the statements of some leaders of the European Union are visible to the question that it is impossible to put Russia in the foreign policy or economic corner, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Mr Koval said it in an interview, commenting his participation in the International Forum in Brussels today, 2 December.

“We see that the European approach to the crisis of Ukrainian values such as democracy, freedom of choice come into a serious conflict with the interests of business and financial elites. Therefore, in the statements of the leaders of the European Union (Germany, France and Italy), countries such as Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, we see the statement of the problem that it is impossible to put Russia in the foreign policy or economic corner. It is due to the significant interdependence of business and energy,” he said.
