ODESSA, JANUARY 16th, 2015, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — For 12 months in 2014 the volume of cargo handled in the whole water area of the Ilyichivsk port amounted to 17 million 613.2 thousand tons, which is 7% more than in 2013, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the Administration of the Ports of Ukraine noted today, 16 January.

According to the Planning and Economic Department of the Ilyichivsk Sea Port Administration for 12 months in 2014 the volume of cargo handled in the whole water area amounted to 17 million 613.2 thousand tons, which is 7% more than in 2013.

State port operator processed 10 million 483.5 thousand tons, which is 4.3% more than in 2013 and amounts to 59.5% of the total volume of cargo handled. Private port operators through the port berths processed 7 million 129.7 thousand tons (40.5% of the total). Including private port operators through marinas ASD processed 4 million 184 thousand tons (24% of the total).

Transshipment of transit cargo totaled 3 million 627.39 thousand tons (19.8% less compared to 2013), export — 10 million 901.09 thousand tons (31.4% more compared to 2013), import — 2 million 990.5 thousand tons (16.4% less compared to 2013).

Liquid cargo handled 1 million 842.51 thousand tons (15.1% more compared to 2013), bulk — 10 million 171.27 thousand tons (2.1% less compared to 2013), general cargo – 5 million 599.40 thousand tons (14.3% more compared to 2013).

The best results for the year reached in the processing of vegetable oil — 1 million 498.22 thousand tons (+ 9.6% as compared to 2013), grain cargoes — 4 million 593.04 thousand tons (+ 19.8%), ferrous metals — 1 million 84.5 thousand tons (+ 14.8%), motor vehicles TIR — 50 thousand 715 units (+ 84.4%).

Containers in general, the port handled 196 thousand 274 TEU, including PE “Ilyichivsk Container Terminal” revised 196 thousand 232 TEU.

In December, in the waters of Ilyichivsk sea port processed 1 million 792 thousand tons of various cargoes, which is 3.4% more than in 2013.

Just last year 1 thousand 560 ships and 141 thousand 319 cars were processed.
