ODESSA, JANUARY 15th, 2015, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Head of Administration of the Odessa Sea Port Mikhail Sokolov has said that in 2015 is expected an increase of turnover by 2%, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.
The Head of Administration of the Odessa seaport Mikhail Sokolov said today, January 15, during a press conference on the results of the port of Odessa in 2014 and the administration's plans for 2015.
“In 2015, we expect a slight increase in cargo handling in the port of Odessa in the amount of 2% (25 million tons). In particular, due to the introduction of new production capacity is planned to increase the volume of transshipment of grain by 45% (to 9.7 million tons),” he noted.
Mr Sokolov also added that the company’s specialists predict a slight decrease in ferrous metals and containerized cargo.
