ODESSA, MARCH 4th, 2015, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — The specialists of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority prepared Register of sea ports of Ukraine in accordance with Art 15 of the Law “On Sea Ports of Ukraine”, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority noted today, March 4.

According to the information, the specialists of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority prepared a Register of sea ports of Ukraine in accordance with Art 15 of the Law “On Sea Ports of Ukraine”. Ukrainian and English versions of documents are available in the relevant sections of the official website of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.

Register prepared taking into account the draft resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “On the determination of the boundaries of the seaports” and “On Amendments to Certain Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers” (concerning the delimitation of seaports).

According to Art 6 of the Law “On Sea Ports of Ukraine” Register of Seaports of Ukraine is an electronic database of accounting ports, the aim of which is to provide the data necessary to perform the tasks in the field of maritime safety, protection of the environment, as well as for the implementation of state supervision (control).

The Register includes the following information: registration number of the sea port; the name of the port and its location; name and location of the sea port administration; date and base of opening of sea port; list of services provided at the sea port; list of berths and marine terminals within the sea port; list of port operators and the services they provide; main technical characteristics of the seaport, including its ability to cargo handling, maintenance of vessels and / or passengers; the territory of sea port; group of cargo handled at the sea port; type and amount of water vehicles serviced at the sea port; navigation period; bases and date of removal from the Register of sea ports of Ukraine; other information defined in the manner of keeping the Register of sea ports of Ukraine.
