ODESSA, MARCH 17th, 2015, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — “Ilyichivsk Grain Terminal” has started the processing of seed oils — on the berth number 14 of Ilyichivsk Shipyard 4 thousand tons of soybean oil were handled on the tanker “Mechanic Pogodin”, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority noted today, March 17.

According to the information, on the berth number 14 of Ilyichivsk Shipyard 4 thousand tons of soybean oil were handled on the tanker “Mechanic Pogodin” (deadweight — 5541 tons, length of the ship — 141 m). Ukrainian oil importer was Egypt, the port of destination — Damietta.

For efficient loading of oil on ships “Ilyichivsk Grain Terminal” conducted extensive work: oil pipe is built and installed six storage tanks for oil 5 thousand tons each (a total of 30 thousand tons of storage).

Delivery of oil is carried by road, also provides unloading of railway tanks.

Due to the operational work of controlling agencies involved in the implementation of necessary formalities as soon as possible was made possible rapid onset of shipment vessel.

“Mechanic Pogodin” is the first ship that has been processed at the berths of IZT with this type of cargo. IZT previously processed only cereal.
