ODESSA, MARCH 18th, 2015, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — The Head of State Enterprise “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority” Andriy Amelin has said that this year in the port of Odessa is planned to start construction of a new pier 1-Z within a public-private project together with company “Brooklyn-Kiev”, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Andriy Amelin noted today, March 18, during a press conference: “The results of the SE “USPA” in 2014 and plans for 2015”.

“I hope a project of building the pier 1-Z will be launched, and possibly completed in 2015. This wharf should be built in synch with the project of company “Brooklyn-Kiev”, which has built a grain terminal in the coastal area. Our commitment is to build the terminal and carry out dredging. To date, the project cost about UAH 260 million. It is at the price of 2013. Today, the project will be updated,” he said.

“Just last week, the project brief was signed and came out of the Ministry of Infrastructure. Now this brief should be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers — a large-scale project. Today, this process is running. Bidding will be conducted Odessa Branch, competition is announced. I think that by the middle of April, winners for the construction of this complex will be announced,” Mr Amelin added.
