Romanian and Ukrainian presidents agreed on the assistance to Moldova for the return of Transnistria

ODESSA, MARCH 17th, 2015, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has said that he agreed with the Romanian President Klaus Werner Johannis to coordinate actions against Transnistria in order to “contribute to the unfreezing of the conflict and to help the sovereign independence of Moldova to restore its territorial integrity”, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Mr Poroshenko noted to the media after a meeting with Romanian counterpart.

The President of Ukraine said that he agreed with the Romanian President Klaus Werner Johannis to coordinate action on Transnistria.

“Special attention was paid to developments in the Republic of Moldova, in particular in the Transnistrian region, and agreed to coordinate our actions in Transnistria in order to facilitate the unfreezing of the conflict and to help the sovereign independence of Moldova to restore its territorial integrity and reintegration of the Transnistrian region of Moldova,” Mr President said at a joint with Mr Klaus Werner Johannis press conference in Kyiv.
