ODESSA, NOVEMBER 24th, 2015, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — The administration of the seaports of Ukraine conducted jointly with other services the search and rescue exercise with emergencies on water, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the Administration of Ports of Ukraine noted today, 24 November.

According to the instructions of the Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Administration seaports of Ukraine held a joint search and rescue exercise with emergencies on water.

The event was attended by the experts and technical equipment of the branch Maritime Search and Rescue Service of SE “APU”, the State Service for Emergency Situations, State Border Service, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ukrainian National Police and other agencies and services.

As a result of the search and rescue operation involving boats Odessa squad Sea Guard of the State Border Service of Ukraine, search and rescue boats of the branch Maritime Search and Rescue Service of SE “APU”, rescue boats of Odessa, Ilyichivsk and Belgorod-Dnistrovsky seaports, speedboat of Armed Forces of Ukraine and the helicopter Mi-8Mt people were saved.

“The rescue of the victims is the first task of the marine search and rescue, which is a subdivision of APU. Despite the high professionalism of our specialists, rescue victims, unfortunately, is not always possible. But for the next time to do their job as best as possible we need such teachings, we need to practice the coordination between different departments and divisions, not only when a trouble happens but on a regular basis,” Chairman of the State Enterprise “APU” Andriy Amelin commented.
