ODESSA, DECEMBER 18th, 2015, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — By the end of the year, it is planned to conduct service dredging works for digging soil in six berths in Ilyichivsk Sea Port, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the Ilyichivsk Sea Port noted today, 18 December.

According to the information, by the end of the year it is planned to conduct Service dredging works for digging soil in six berths. Scheduled work is needed to bring the actual depth at the berths of the port in accordance with specifications. The last time such work was carried out in the port for more than 10 years ago.

According to Deputy Chief Operating Officer Vyacheslav Gazun, the execution of these works will contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of Ilyichivsk Sea Port. So, by the end of the year it is scheduled to increase to the level of passport stamps approaches to berths 1 and 2, as well as to 10, 11, 16, and 17.

According to the results of tenders for the repair work on the digging started dredger “Meotida”, which is on the balance of the unit of the branch of the SE “ASPU” “Delta-pilot”.

“I stress that the cost of these works will be even lower than planned. This is due to the fact that by the beginning of work “Meotida” has been already in the port. So we can save, as there are no charges for mobilization of this vessel to a place of a work. And in order to create the maximum motivation for the crew to perform the work and in time, provide incentives,” said the head of the Administration of Ilyichivsk Sea Port Gennadiy Skvortsov.

For the period of implementation of operational and service dredge the port will work in the ordinary course, berths will be decommissioned.
