The second bulk carrier with the South African coal for Tripoli thermal power plant arrived in Yuzhny port

ODESSA, FEBRUARY 8th, 2016, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — The second bulk carrier with the South African coal for Tripoli thermal power plant arrived in Yuzhny port, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the sea port noted today, February 8.

According to the information, the bulk carrier “Fyla”arrived to “Yuzhny” port on February 6, loaded with coal from South Africa (Richards Bay port) in the amount of 79.004 thousand tons.

A mooring was carried out on February 7 at 17:00 at the deep-water berths ¹6 of Yuzhny Commercial Sea Port.

This is the second shipment of South African coal, received on unloading at the Yuzhny port. The first batch of 168 thousand tons was delivered by bulk carrier “Bulk China” on December 5, 2015.

Unloading bulk carrier “Fyla” was launched on 7 February at 22:30. As of the morning on 8 February berthing port warehouse unloaded 13 thousand tons of cargo.

The average speed of unloading operations is 20 thousand tons per day. Estimated time of complete unloading is 4 days.

Delivery of coal is carried out on a bilateral agreement between PJSC “Centrenergo” and international trader MERCURIA ENERGY TRADING SA (Switzerland), which was concluded in September 2015.

The cargo will be overloaded to wagons and delivered to Tripoli thermal power plant.
