ODESSA, FEBRUARY 3th, 2016, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Delegation of Administration of Yuzhny port has paid an official visit to the Freeport of Riga and Klaipeda State Seaport, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the Yuzhny sea port noted today, February 4.

According to the information, the delegation of the administration of the Yuzhny sea port, headed by the chief of administration Maxim Shyrokov paid an official visit to Latvia, and Lithuania’s largest port — Port of Riga and Klaipeda State Seaport.

During the visit, the delegation got acquainted with the work of the structural divisions of the Port Authority, Harbor Master's Office, Port Police, rescue services, as well as the Coast Guard.

A number of working meetings were held with the management of ports and their departments, representatives of the Lithuanian Association of Stevedoring Companies, leaders of Latvia's largest port terminal operator “Riga Commercial Port”.

During the visit, he signed a memorandum on cooperation and exchange of experience between the Klaipeda State Seaport Authority and Yuzhny port.

“This historical document marks the beginning of international cooperation for Yuzhny port”, stressed in the press-service.

After the signing of the memorandum, Yuzhny delegation was presented with a memorial sign, symbolizing the port and the city of Klaipeda.

In order to attract additional cargo flows and investment in the infrastructure of the enterprise, the representatives of the delegation of the administration of Yuzhny seaport made presentations of technical and territorial capabilities of the port.
