NIKOLAEV, 15 JUNE 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie -- President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko attended the opening of a new production and transshipment complex in Nikolaev seaport, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

According to the press service, the President of Ukraine has opened a production and transshipment complex of the group of companies Bunge in Nikolaev seaport.

P. Poroshenko noted that «the country need investment as an air. In the first place for such an important industry as agriculture».

«The opening of this complex is the faith of investors in the economic future of Ukraine. It's not just words, it is a vote for the money to Ukraine. Money of American investor, who creates new jobs, the money to fill state and local budgets ... This increases foreign currency earnings in Ukraine and strengthens the national currency , — he said in his speech.

Production and transshipment complex Bunge Group is located in the rear of 13-14 berths of the Nikolaev sea port. As a result, the project has created more than 170 new jobs. Cargo turnover of the complex amounts to more than 2 million tons per year. The total cost of the project — 180 million dollars, which today is one of the largest US investment in the Ukrainian economy.
