Odessa, 05 JULY 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie -- The total length of Odessa urban transport routes now stands at 3 thousand 297.9 km, 1 thousand 429 units of rolling stock service these routes, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

About this Agency was announced today, July 5, in the Department of information of Odessa city Council with reference to the materials of the report on the work of the Department of transport, connection and traffic organization of the city Council for the first half of 2016.

Thus, according to the report, currently provide transportation of Odessa passengers on 76 bus, 24 tram and 12 trolleybus routes.

The total length of urban transport route Odessa is 3 297.9 km (including bus -- 2 622.1 km, tram -- 427.4 km, trolley -- 248.4 km)..

These routes are served by 1 thousand 429 units of rolling stock, including buses -- 1thousand 178 units, trams -- 153 units, trolley -- 98 units.

During a half year, purchased 5 new low-floor trolleybuses production of PJSC «Automobile Company «Bogdan Motors» at the expense of the city budget in the amount of 26 mln. 400 thousand UAH. New trolley buses went on routes in July.

In June 2016, it is completed the procedure for obtaining and registration of technical conditions that allow the public utility «Odesgorelektrotrans» independently produce partially low-floor trams on the principle of overhaul with reconstruction.

30 June, at session of the Odessa city Council decided to obtain PU «OGET» credit in the amount of 100 million UAH for the acquisition of new tramcars bodies (length of 25-30 meters) of the first set. On the basis of wagon repair specialists PU «EGAT» will provide SKD cars. Work on the first multi-part carriage to be completed by the end of 2016.

Multi-section cars will run on the route «North South».
