Odessa, 11 JULY 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie -- As part of the Maritime festival, which is held in Odessa, on the weekend was the race in vests, designer shows and performances of creative groups with songs about sea, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, July 7, in the Department of Information of the Odessa City Council.

According to the Department, on the weekend during the Maritime festival in Odessa, on the central avenue of «Arcadia» held an entertainment event where participated Odessa citizens and the city guests.

Members of the Center of military-musical art of the Naval Forces of Ukraine pleased the guests with their performance. Artists of the Center presented a concert program with sea songs and dances.

Also appeared children's creative teams of the city and held a fashion show.

More than 100 people took part in the race vests from the beach «Arcadia» to the beach «Otrada».

During the festival, the representative of the National Registry of Records of Ukraine Dmitry Yaitsky handed to the Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Odessa City Council a certificate confirming the record of Odessites and visitors for the longest human chain in the vests of 380 meters in length, which July 3 totaled 283 people on Deribasovskaya street.

The Department added that on July 16-17 in Odessa Victory Park will host a weekend of «Sea Sunday». The program of festivities is in a Maritime style for adults and children as well as a concert program. Free admission.
