Odessa, 04 AUGUST 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie -- In January-July, the total turnover of public and private stevedoring companies working on the territory of the Illichevsk sea port made 9 million 262,22 thousand tons, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, August 4, in a press-service of the SE «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority».

The press service reported that according to operative data, the total turnover at the port of Illichevsk in January-July amounted to 9 million 262.22 thousand tons, which is 8.3% less than in January-July 2015, when the turnover of goods amounted to 10 million 106.45 thousand tons.

Liquid cargo handled for the period 802.90 thousand tons (72.0% against the January-July 2015); bulk dry cargo -- 6 million 861.93 thousand tons (96.9%), unitized cargo -- 1 million 597.39 thousand tons (83.8%).

REFERENCE: The territory of Illichevsk port extends strip along the quays from entering deep into the coast of Sukhoi estuary in the second basin to the ferry complex, including the ferry and third basin. The port can accommodate vessels up to 275 m (in some cases up to 300 m with the permission of the Harbour Master). Approach channel of the port has a length of 1.4 km and a width of 160 m and a depth of 16 m.
