Odessa, 13 SEPTEMBER 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — Prominent Belgian wine experts at the blind tasting of the best wines of the world in Brussels awarded wine Rkatsiteli Shabo status of «discovery of the year» and praised it as a real discover, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, on September 13, by the press service of the company «Shabo».

According to the press service, 2 September in Brussels, especially for the largest retail Belgium Delhaize Group held a private tasting of the best wines in the world. The quality of wines was evaluated by reputable Belgian wine critics, oenologists and sommeliers. Of 120 samples from around the world experts have selected only 26 truly outstanding, and among them Rkatsiteli wine Shabo, created by a unique technology that is known worldwide as «Kakhetian».

As a result of the closed tasting Belgian authoritative wine critics, oenologists and sommeliers assigned the status of «discovery of the year» to the wine Rkatsiteli Shabo and rated it as a real discover.

Commenting on this fact, the Executive Director of LLC «PTK Shabo» George Mshvidobadze said: «We are proud of Ukrainian wine Shabo, it is not the first sold in Europe, it is appreciated by professionals and consumers. The excellent quality of our wines marked more than 100 medals of the world's best tasting competitions. In our work we rely not only on classic, and unique technologies. A harmonious blend of tradition and innovation is an important component to our success».

After a blind tasting and discussion of submitted samples representatives of the Belgian retail sector have confirmed their intention to further long-term cooperation with the company «Shabo».

Note that Shabo wines are successfully sold in Brussels — the political capital of Europe — from February 2016. Now the «Belgian collection» will be complemented by Rkatsiteli Shabo seasoned dry aged white wine, made from grapes Rkatsiteli through a unique «Kakhetian» technology.

«Wine Rkatsiteli Shabo has a complex aroma, unique and rich taste with hints of dried fruit, an unusual bright golden color. The unique characteristics of the wine provides its identity technology: fermentation of grape held in the underground conical vessels (qvevri) for solid particles of grapes at a constant temperature to 14 ° C with subsequent holding for 3-4 months.

So wine retains the maximum antioxidants, vitamins and tannins contained in the skins and seeds of grapes Rkatsiteli.

By the way, in 2013, the Kakhetian technology included in the list of intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO», — said the press service.
