Odessa, 13 SEPTEMBER 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — Illichevsk seaport on the results of August 2016 increased its handling of grain cargoes and vehicles, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, on September 13, by the press service of the Odessa Sea Port administration.

According to the service economy of administration of Illichevsk sea port in August 2016, the turnover in the whole of the water area (excluding cargo handling of the LLC «Ilyichevsk sea fishing port») amounted to 1 million 486 thousand tons.

Including State port operator (SE «SCPI») processed 516 thousand tons, accounting for 35% of the total turnover of the port; private port operators processed 970 thousand tons (65% of the total), including at the berths of USPA — 599 thousand tons (40% of total volume).

Transshipment of export cargo amounted to 1 million 232 thousand tons (an increase of 11.5% by the year 2015), import — 217 thousand tons (an increase of 12.6% compared to the same period in 2015) transit — 26 thousand tons (26,9% from the previous year), cabotage cargoes — 11 thousand tons (4.5% from the same period of 2015).

Bulk cargo processed 1 million 203 thousand tons (91.9% compared to 2015), liquid bulk — 81 thousand tons (61.5% from the same period in 2015), general cargo — 202 thousand tons (an increase of 4. 6% as compared to 2015).

The best results at the end of August reached in the processing of grain — 970 thousand tons (more than doubling by 2015) and the loaded vehicles — 97 thousand tons (an increase of 35% compared to 2015).

In general, the Illichevsk seaport in August 2016 handled 81 vessels and 11 thousand 445 wagons.

In the period from January to August 2016, the turnover in the whole water area (excluding LLC «Illichevsk sea fishing port») amounted to 10 million 498 thousand tons, accounting for 89.4% of the same period last year.

The best results in the first 8 months of 2016 are achieved in the processing of grain — 4 million 665 thousand tons (50% increase to the year 2015) and the loaded vehicles — 758 thousand tons (32% growth against the same period last year).

From January to August 2016, 700 ships and 93 thousand 878 wagons were handled at the Illichevsk seaport.
