Odessa, 27 SEPTEMBER 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — The aim of «Sea Breeze-2017» upcoming naval exercises will be conducting a multinational security operations in crisis regions, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, September 27, in the press center of the Command of the Naval Forces of Ukraine.

According to the press center, on the eve in Kiev with the participation of representatives of the Ukrainian Navy and the United States of America held a conference on the development of the concept of the Ukrainian-American exercises «Sea Breeze-2017».

The parties analyzed the experience gained during the exercises «Sea Breeze-2016» discussed the format, the script and possible membership of the international doctrines «Sea Breeze-2017». In addition, during the event, a target was agreed, training issues, key elements, areas, timing, and location of the meetings for planning and training, as well as a list of countries and organizations that should be invited to future exercises.

According to the Deputy commander of the Naval Forces of Ukraine for combat training captain of 1st rank Alexey Neizhpapa, who led a working group from the Ukrainian side, the main feature of international maneuvers «Sea Breeze-2017» will be the advance preparation of staff of Maritime, ground and aviation components according to NATO standards, with the involvement of foreign experts. In addition, the Chairman of the group noted that during the exercises is planned a rapid change in the situation directly during the execution of tasks.

Following the discussion, it decided that the purpose of the exercise is to conduct future multinational security operations in crisis regions. The «Sea Breeze-2017» will combine theoretical and practical training process of planning and carrying out the operation under NATO standards, leadership courses, provision of medical care in combat, reconnaissance of the situation and the information exchange, the lighting surface, underwater and air situation with data from ships and aircraft, combat electronic warfare and cyberattacks, and the like.

«The holding of Ukrainian-us exercises «Sea Breeze» is an effective mechanism for the preparation of the ships and units of the Ukrainian Navy according to the standards of leading countries», — stressed in the press center.
