Odessa, 05 OCTOBER 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — In January-September the total turnover of public and private stevedoring companies working on the territory of Illichevsk seaport amounted to 11 million 911,27 thousand tons and decreased by 7.4% compared to the same period of the last year, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, October 05, in a press-service of the SE «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority».

In a press-service reported that according to operational data, the total turnover for Illichevsk port in January-September amounted to 11 million 911,27 thousand tons, which is 7.4% less than in January-September 2015, when the turnover amounted to 12 million 867,61 thousand tons. Liquid cargoes during the period handled 954,09 thousand tons (70,9% against Jan-Aug 2015); bulk dry cargo — 8 million 908,59 thousand tons (96.2 %); unitized cargo — 2 million 48,59 thousand tons (90,5%).

REFERENCE: Illichevsk sea port currently is in the process of changing the name — the Sea port «Chernomorsk» in accordance with the law on decommunization. The port area stretches along the strip of berths from the entrance of the inland Sukhoi Liman into the second basin to the ferry complex including the third pool. The port can take vessels up to 275 m (in some cases up to 300 m with the permission of the captain of the port). Approach channel of the port has a length of 1.4 km and width of 160 m and depth 16 m.
