Odessa, 07 OCTOBER 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that European Union funds the planned «construction of the bridge, which will shorten the distance between Odessa, Bucharest and Bulgaria», the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

According to the press service, Poroshenko said that today held productive talks with the leadership of the Government of Moldova directly on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border.

«Together with the EU in the framework of the Eastern partnership project we are building on the border modern checkpoint. Europe allocates more than € 6 million. Also agreed to equip another checkpoint on the station Kuchurgan — Pervomaysk, with the participation of the EU. The joint work of the Moldovan and Ukrainian border guards at one crossing point will become a symbol of the Moldovan-Ukrainian friendship.

In Orlovka and Isakcha we plan to build ferry across the Danube at the expense of extrabudgetary funds. Also planning the construction of a bridge at the expense of the EU, which will reduce the distance between Odessa, Bucharest and Bulgaria», — said the Head of State.
