Odessa, 01 NOVEMBER 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — In 10 months of 2016 the total turnover of public and private stevedoring companies working on the territory of Odessa sea port amounted to 20 million 892,57 thousand tons, or 98.4% from the same period last year, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, November 01, in the press-service of the SE «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority».

Liquid cargoes during the period processed 2 million 100,14 kt (69,5% against Jan-Oct 2015); bulk dry cargo — 7 million 873,22 thousand tons (92,3%); unitized cargo — 919,21 10 million tons (of 112.8%).

REFERENCE: Odessa sea port is located in the southwestern part of Odessa Gulf on an artificially formed area of 141 hectares. In the port, vessels are served up to 330 m and draught up to 13 m. The total length of berthing line is more than 9 km away. Facilities of the enterprise allow to annually process more than 21 million tons of dry and 25 million tons of bulk cargo and container terminals are designed for an overload of more than 900 thousand TEU. Passenger complex is able to serve up to 4 million tourists a year.
