Odessa, 09 NOVEMBER 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — From January to October 2016 in the port «Yuzhny» handled more than 30 million tons of cargo, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

Today, November 9, during a press conference said the head of the Administration of the «Yuzhny» seaport Maxim Shirokov.

According to him, the operational data of the main control room of administration of the sea port «Yuzhny» suggests that the turnover of all the port operators operating in the port «Yuzhny»,

for 10 months amounted to 32 million 986 thousand 500 tons. This amounts to 30.3% of the turnover of all Ukrainian sea ports.

«These performance indicators once again confirm the consistent position of the port «Yuzhny»

as a leader in the port industry of Ukraine. The first place among the ports of the country is the result of joint coordinated work of the port operators, the port authority and the city authorities. This is the result of efficient development of the entire strategic infrastructure»,— said M. Shirokov.

He also added that the main types of cargo processed at the port, remained the same. In particular, 52% of the total volume of processed cargo is ore.
