Odessa, 30 NOVEMBER 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company during the cruise season 2016 earned 800 thousand Euros for river cruises, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, November 30, in a press-service of the SE «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority» with reference to the statement by the Chairman of the Board of PJSC «UDP» Dmitriy Barinov.

As noted Chairman of the Board of the company, the UDP in 2016 was able to successfully return to the market of river cruises and intends to develop this area of passenger traffic next year.

According to him, in 2015 there was the bankruptcy of long years charterer of UDP, the company «Niko-Tours», in this connection the tourist season for UDP has been lost. But in 2016, it reached an agreement with one of Germany's tourism market leaders — the company «Bigxtra Touristik».

Currently, the UDP not only let to freight ships, but also tries to provide a wider range of tourist services. Together this allowed the company to earn more than 800 thousand Euros for the navigation.

The German company Bigxtra intends to continue to cooperate with UDP and in 2017 — have already been sold 4 thousand rounds for the next season.
