Odessa, 05 DECEMBER 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — In January-November the total turnover of the public and private stevedoring companies operating in the territory of Illichevsk seaport was 14 million 675.63 thousand tons and decreased by 5.8% compared to the last year's figure, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, December 05, in the press-service of the SE «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority».

Liquid cargoes during the period processed 1 million 269.19 thousand tons (77,7% against Jan-Nov 2015); bulk dry cargo — 10 million 919.6 thousand tons (97.3 %); unitized cargo — 2 million 486.84 thousand tons (91.1%).

REFERENCE: Illichevsk sea port currently is in the process of changing the name — the Sea port «Chernomorsk» in accordance with the law on decommunization.

The port area stretches along the strip of berths from the entrance of the inland Sukhoi Liman into the second basin to the ferry complex including the third pool. The port can take vessels up to 275 m (in some cases up to 300 m with the permission of the captain of the port). Approach channel of the port has a length of 1.4 km and width of 160 m and depth 16 m.
