NIKOLAEV, 08 DECEMBER 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — Nikolaev sea port in the first 11 months of this year won the championship for transshipment of grain and oils, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, on December 08, in the press service of the Nikolaev Sea Port administration.

So, according to operational data of the administration of the Nikolaev seaport, for 11 months the port operators processed 20.3 million tons of cargo. With the achieved production figures, the Nikolaev seaport was traditionally among the top three largest marine ports of Ukraine.

During this period, the port processed 1.8 million tons of vegetable oil, or 42% of the total volume of the cargo in all sea ports of Ukraine, which makes the Nikolaev seaport a leader in transshipment of these products. Moreover, Ukraine is the world leader in exports of sunflower oil.

Special attention is given to statistics of the grain — 8.1 million tons over the past 11 months. This figure exceeds indicators of grain handling in other ports of Ukraine, which displays the Nikolaev seaport the leader in terms of grain handling

«These results, for the most part, are the merit of the introduction this year of new facilities for transshipment of grain companies, BUNGE and COFCO on the territory of the Nikolaev seaport», — said the press service.
