Odessa, 08 DECEMBER 2016, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — Yesterday, December 7, held a solemn ceremony of launching the ship of «Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company», renamed in honor of the fallen hero-frontier guard Igor Momot, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, on December 08, in the department on media relations of the Administration of the State Border Service of Ukraine.

The ceremony was attended by the leadership of the southern regional office of the SBSU, the border guards of Izmail border detachment and the Odessa marine guard detachment, the leaders and workers of the enterprises of sea branch, the wife of the deceased and the people of the region.

During the celebrations, the participants observed a minute of silence in memory of the border guards who died defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. The right to open aboard ship with the inscription «Igor Momot» was given to the participants of the events of July 2014 — the senior warrant officer Oleg Barbashov and junior sergeant Fedor Perepelitsa. Igor Momot wife handed crew of the ship the picture of a General, which will constantly be on board. In turn, the Chairman of the «UDP» Dmitry Barinov gave to wife of a lost hero a picture of this vessel.

After the consecration of the vessel «Igor Momot» launched. The ship will sail from the mouth of the Danube River to Kelheim city (Germany).
