It was reported to the agency today, on December 30, in the press service of the Nikolaev Sea Port administration.

According to the press service, the tender for dredging operations near the borders of berths and port waters will be held in public procurement Prozorro.

It is planned to conduct the operational boundaries of all dredging berths to the rating level of 10.7 m, and the waters of the harbor to the rating level of 11.2 m. The total volume of dredging is about 500 thousand cubic meters.

Similar work was last held more than 5 years ago. The execution of these works became possible with the new leadership of the port, which has identified this issue a priority among other problematic issues of the port.

Through the branch «Delta-pilot» as soon as possible all the design work to determine the total volume of dredging were carried out.

The press service reminded that in November, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Yuriy Lavrenyuk at a meeting with the port operators in Nikolaev seaport administration raised the need to work on operational dredging, and promised to personally assist to address this problem.
