Odessa, 04 JANUARY 2017, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — The passenger turnover of the Odessa railroad as a whole for the year 2016 amounted to 6.4 billion passenger-kilometers, which is higher than last year's level by 8.1%, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, January 04, in the press-service of the regional branch of UZ «Odessa railroad».

According to the press center, Odessa passenger railway in 2016 amounted to 6.4 billion passenger-kilometers, which exceeded the target of 5.5% and above last year's level by 8.1%.

Shipment of cargo amounted to 31.3 million tons, which exceeded the target by 6.1% (1.8 million tons) and 5.1% above last year's level (1.5 million tons).

According to operative reports, performance indicators of the load was 108.3%, on average, per day reached 86.3 thousand tons, with the plan of 79.7 thousand tons. Over the plan shipped 2.4 million tons of cargo. Compared with 2015, the loading of goods increased by 1.8 million tons, which is 105.9% increase to last year's level. Discharge indicator amounted to 103.3% of the plan.

A key indicator of the quality of work is a car turnover, which in 2016 in the regional branch is made at the level of 3.58 days with the annual target of 3.87 days. Due to this, it was released for the additional transportation 820 railcars per day.

There was also an increase in performance of the locomotive (103.5%) and average mileage of the locomotive (102.3% to the plan).
