Odessa, 05 JANUARY 2017, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — In January-December, the total turnover of the public and private stevedoring companies operating in the seaport «Yuzhny», was 39 million. 291.60 thousand tons, a decrease of 19.1% compared to the last year's figure, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, January 05, in the press-service of the SE «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority».

The press service reported that, according to operative data, the total turnover on the «Yuzhny»

port for 12 months amounted to 39 million 291.60 thousand tons, which accounted for 80.9% in relation to January-December 2015.

Liquid cargo handled 3 million 788.24 thousand tons (84% vs. Jan-Dec 2015); bulk dry cargo — 383.04 34 million tons (79.2 %); unitized cargo — 1 million 120.32 thousand tons (167.2%).

REFERENCE: Sea port «Yuzhny» — a universal port, which specializes in the transshipment of chemical goods and fertilizers, bulk, liquid bulk and general cargo. Located on the banks of the estuary Ajalyk in the north-west coast of the Black Sea. Companies operating in the port, able to handle about 47.5 million tons of various cargoes per year.
