Odessa, 10 JANUARY 2017, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — Due to the deterioration of hydro-meteorological conditions and a significant cooling, today in the Danube ports of the region announced the start of ice campaign, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, January 10, in the press-service of the SE «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority».

According to the press service, in connection with the deterioration of hydro-meteorological conditions and a significant cooling, the orders of the captains of sea ports of Reni, Izmail and Ust-Danube from 00:00 on January 10 announced the beginning of the ice campaign.

As of 9 January, in the port of Reni was observed finely broken ice with a thickness of 7-10 cm cohesion 8 points. Concentration of ice in the waters of the ports of Izmail and Ust-Dunaysk was 9 and 10 points, respectively.

Moreover, the channel of the mouth Bystoe river at this time closed to vessel traffic. At the mouth of the channel is carried ice campaign.

Vessels of the fleets are completely ready to ice operations.

The seaports of Ilyichevsk, Odessa, «Yuzhny» and Skadovsk are operating normally.
