«USPA needs to create conditions to attract investment and create jobs in ports», — Raivis Veckagans

Odessa, 13 JANUARY 2017, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — The newly appointed acting Chairman of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority Raivis Veckagans said that the main task of USPA considers creating conditions to attract investment and create jobs in sea ports, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, January 13, in the press-service of the SE «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority».

According to the press service, presented yesterday the acting Chairman of the USPA R. Veckagans held a meeting with representatives of branch trade unions, during which he outlined his vision of the Administration to attract investment and create new jobs in ports.

«The main task of such a powerful enterprise as USPA I see the creation of conditions for efficient operation of the business. The essence of management of state property, based on the provisions of the Law «On sea ports of Ukraine», should be aimed at development of ports, creation of new enterprises in Maritime ports, port factories, processing plants. USPA needs to create conditions to attract investment and to create jobs in the ports», — said the head.

«I am speaking, of course, for the fact that the port workers salaries were market, but actually correspond to the contribution of each specialist in a common cause. We will build our dialogue with all trade union organizations and to seek compromise solutions for the development of each port», — said during the meeting Raivis Veckagans.

«We want you to see us as reliable partners and the social dialogue, which today began its work, to be continued», — said the Chairman of trade Union of workers of sea transport of Ukraine (United), Sergei Bryzgalov.

REFERENCE: State enterprise «Administration seaports of Ukraine» is created as a result of the entry into force of the Law «On sea ports of Ukraine» in 2013. USPA is a unitary enterprise based on the right of economic management, consisting of Central office (Kiev), chief of the representative office (Odessa), 13 branches in the ports of Ukraine, branch of «Delta-Lotsman» and has more than 8 000 employees.
