Odessa, 18 JANUARY 2017, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — Today, January 18, Maxim Stepanov held a meeting with representatives of Odessa mass media, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, January 18, in the press service of the Odessa regional Council.

According to the press service, today M. Stepanov met «with representatives of the media, which first took the initiative to meet with the new head of the region».

During the meeting it has been designated priority areas of work, such as repairs of regional public roads, the construction of transport infrastructure. Chairman of the State Administration stressed that the state of the roads also depends on the development of agriculture and tourism.

In addition, the priority issue is the construction or reconstruction of the runway of the airport. The Chairman of regional state administration intends to carry out work for the allocation of funding in this direction.

It is also planned reorganization of the structure of regional public administration to improve efficiency.

«I'm not involved in politics, I want to address economic and social problems of the region, that the results would noticeable for the residents of Odessa region — the roads, kindergartens, schools, attraction of investments, the realization of the enormous economic potential», — M. Stepanov said.

Also the head of the region noted that at the present time, the plan of priority steps for 2017, which is planned to be presented in March this year, to enable the public to monitor their implementation.

The Chairman of the Odessa regional state administration promised to representatives of the media soon to decide on the most convenient format of communication with the media and the public, which will provide the frequency and coordination of such communication.
