The Czech delegation visited the port of Odessa

Odessa, 26 JANUARY 2017, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — Governmental-parliamentary delegation of the Czech Republic visited the port of Odessa, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, January 26, in the press service of the Odessa Sea Port administration.

According to the press service, January 24, Odessa port was visited by governmental-parliamentary delegation of the Czech Republic led by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Jiri Koliba. The delegation was accompanied by Director General of the Executive Directorate of the Odessa city organization of employers Eugene Drozd. The guests were received by the acting Chief of administration of port Alexander Zubik and head of administrative services, Board member Sergei Kuzhko.

After a tour of the port of Odessa in the office of the chief of the naval station held a meeting Czech guests with the leadership of the port authority. A. Zubik told about the company, noting that the port is constantly developing due to the implementation of investment projects. In addition, despite the difficult situation in the country, the port authority is making efforts to develop the cruise industry.

As noted I. Koliba, Czech Republic is a landlocked country, but there are intentions to revive the once-existing Company. Therefore, this interest is in Czech Odessa business. In March, intergovernmental large delegation is expected to visit Kiev and will discuss issues of economic cooperation with Ukraine.

A. Zubik, in turn, noted that the administration of the port of Odessa is open for cooperation and is doing everything in order «to build relationships with European partners in terms of transparency, honesty, mutual benefit of the parties».

The acting chief of the port authority answered the guests ' questions concerning the functioning of the port area by private stevedoring companies, the possibility of conclusion of investment agreements on the terms of the lease etc.
