II Odesa International Film Festival has been awarded by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
A HFPA member Gabriel Lerman, Spain, handed the award to the president of the II Odesa International Film Festival Mrs Viktoria Tigipko.
“Our organization is mostly engaged in awarding with the Golden Globes. Of course, we are known for this prize, but in addition, every year we give out over USD 1 million of various scholarships and grants for the Motion Picture Association and other organizations associated with the world of cinema. We treat our awards very seriously, so we visit many film festivals and look for ‘gems’. This year we have included the Odesa International Film Festival in the list of those festivals that we attend. I am very happy to be here and very happy to introduce you to this modest troffy — our recognition of the OIFF”, said Mr Lerman.
