Call for entries for OIFF 2013 open

Odesa International Film Festival has opened the call for entries for International Competition and Ukrainian National Competition. International competition programme includes full-length films of high artistic quality for a wide audience («art mainstream»).

The participants will compete for Grand Prix (Golden Duke statuette and 12,000 Euro, determined by audience vote) and international jury prizes for the Best Film (8,000 Euro), Best Director (5,000 Euro) and Best Acting (5,000 Euro). The participants of the International competition programme can also get one of the two Special Jury's Mentions and Don Quixote Prize established by the International Federation of Film Societies (FICC).

The films, eligible for the International Competition Programme, are features that were completed after 1 January 2012, and were not premiered on the territory of Ukraine before the Odesa Festival starts.

The Ukrainian national competition programme includes feature-length and short films (fiction, documentary, animation), produced in Ukraine or in co-production with Ukraine. The winner gets the «Golden Duke» statuette for the best Ukrainian film and a cash award of 50,000 UAH, awarded by the International Jury. There is also Special Jury's Mention and Prize of the International Press Federation (FIPRESCI), awarded within the Ukrainian National Competition programme.

The films, eligible for the Ukrainian National Competition Programme, are shorts and features completed after 1 January 2012.

The formats of competition programme films are film (35 mm) or digital (DCP).

The deadline for entries is set April 15, 2013. The participants of the OIFF competition programs will be announced on June 12, 2013.

As reported before, IV Odesa International Film Festival will be held through 12 ― 20 July 2013 in Odesa.
