Starting from December 1st tramway and trolleybus fare will increase to 1 UAH in Odessa. This decision was made on October 28th at the sitting of the executive committee of Odessa city council.

The director of UE “Odesgorelektrotrans” Valery Novikov noted that the cost of the tickets won’t change. Fare increase to 1 UAH will let increase twice the amount of funds drawn in from the government budget for paying off the costs of transportation of people entitled to a benefit.

The acting city mayor Anatoly Vorokhaev added that the fare in the city electric transport of 0.50 UAH left unchanged only in Kiev besides Odessa. But it is planned to increase the fare there as well.
