ODESA, 2nd, February, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Odesa Oil Refinery OJSC Lukoil was stopped for scheduled repair, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Today, on 2 February, 2009, assistant of the President of Odesa Oil Refinery OJSC Lukoil, Aleksei Bibik informed the agency about it during a telephone conversation.

According to Mr. Bibik, “Odesa Oil Refinery stopped its operation last week-end for scheduled repair works. These are exactly scheduled repair not connected with any problems. The plant is to renew its operation in the late February”.

INFORMATION: Odesa Oil Refinery was put into operation in 1937 as a cracking plant. In 2000 it was renamed to OJSC Lukoil Odesa Oil Refinery. 97 % of the shares are held by Lukoil – a Russian oil company. After a long reconstruction the plant’s operation was resumed on 18 April 2008. As the result of its reconstruction its processing depth was increased from 56 % to 80 %, while its production capacity remained 2,8 million tons per year.
