The Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine by its Decree No 150 dated 9 February. 2009 added changes to Decree No 86 dated 29 January, 2009 “On dismissal of Mr. Skvortsov G.P.”. In compliance with this decree Head of GE Illichivsk Merchant Sea Port is to be discharged from his office from 20 February, 2009.

Paragraph 1 of this document in particular prescribes “to make changes to Decree of The Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine No 86 dated 29 January, 2009 ‘On dismissal of Mr. Skvortsov G.P.’, changing in the first paragraph the date ‘29 January, 2009’ to ‘20 February, 2009’”.

The State Department of Sea and River Transport is obliged to notify GE IMSP and Mr. Skvortsov G.P personally of this Decree.

At the same time Chief of the Trade Union at GE IMSP Serhiy Bryzgalov stated all the Decrees on dismissal of Head of Illichivsk Merchant Sea Port to be cancelled.

“This information is out-of-date. Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko cancelled all the decrees on dismissal of Mr. Skvortsov. Governmental Commission is now working in the port headed by Deputy Minister of Economy. The commission checks all the ridiculous facts provided by Vinskii. I am sure Mr. Vinskii will feel shame for this lie, if he is still the minister after the check has been over”, — Serhiy Bryzgalov stressed.

As it was previously reported, 29 January Minister of Transport and Communications of Ukraine signed a decree saying to discharge Head of Illichivsk Merchant Sea Port from his post. This caused massive rows. The port’s Trade Union representatives named the dismissal of IMSP Head a regular raider attack on the enterprise.

4 February about 100 employees of the port picketed the building of the Cabinet. After this Serhiy Bryzgalov stated Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko cancelled the decree on dismissal of Head of Illichivsk Merchant Sea Port.
