Representatives of East and West to meet in Odesa

18-19 September 2009 scientists, politicians and political analysts from Western, Central and Eastern Europe will participate in the International Conference “Wider Europe: East and West Dialogue” in Odesa to discuss the reasons, the state and the prospects of the system crisis having influenced the world and having made the relations between the European East and West more complicated. The conference is organized by the World Public Forum (WPF) “Dialogue of Civilizations”, Odesa National Academy of Law and Kharkov National Karazin University.

Among the Conference participants are: Vladimir Yakunin, the Founding President of the WPF “Dialogue of Civilizations”; Walter Schwimmer, Ex-Secretary of the Council of Europe, the Chairman of the International Coordination Committee of the WPF “Dialogue of Civilizations”; Oleg Atkov, WPF “Dialogue of Civilizations” General Secretary; Sergey Kivalov, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Justice; Sergiy Grinevetskyy, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Deputy; Igor Chernyak, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of “Rossijskaya Gazeta” daily; Yuri Pahomov, director of the Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO) of Ukraine; Piotr Tolochko, director of the Institute of Archeology of National Academy of Science of Ukraine; Vyacheslav Boguslaev, president of the JSC “Motor Sich”; Hans Köchler (Austria), the President of the International Progress Organization, the Innsbruck University professor; Mikhail Delyagin, Director of the Globalization Problems Institute; Milosh Zeman, former prime minister of the Czech Republic; Kamran Mofid, Great Britain, the founder of NGO “Globalization for the Common Good Initiative”; Sesto Castagnoli, President of the World Spirit Forum (Switzerland).

18 and 19 September the conference will comprise three sections.
